Weird meets western at Rodeo Austin, which runs from March 14th to March 28th this year. This unique event offers things to do for the whole family, and has consequently become one of the can’t-miss events in Austin each spring. On Saturdays to Fridays, Rodeo Austin runs from 10:00 a.m. to midnight, and on Sundays it is open from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Rodeo Austin includes great live music. This year, it will feature artists including Willie Nelson & Family, Joe Nichols, Panic! At The Disco, Martina McBride, Dwight Yoakam and more. Rodeo events will include bareback riding, mutton bustin’, steer wrestling, team roping, and other exciting categories. Austin’s largest carnival will also be hosted within the fairgrounds.
Tickets for the rodeo and concerts will range from $20 to $175 and include admission to the fairgrounds. Fairgrounds admission will be $25 for an adult or $15 for children ages 3-12 for the season. Day passes are $8 for adults and $5 for kids. Children under 3 get in free!
The carnival will begin at 11:00 a.m. from March 14th-22nd, 4:00 p.m. from March 23rd-26th, and again at 11:00 a.m. from March 27th-28th. Season passes, which also include admission to the fairgrounds, will be $90 for adults and $80 for children. A daily-unlimited ride pass is $42 for adults and $40 for kids.
