Join Your Community For This Celebration

For over a half decade, Austin has been celebrating Eeyore’s birthday. Whether you grew up with Winnie The Pooh, shared these beloved characters with your own children, or are only familiar with them for their fame, you know their faces and their stories. This year, the 52^nd Annual celebration of Eeyore’s Birthday Party will be held on April 25^th.

On that date, from 11:00 a.m. to dark, head to Pease Park. One of the most beloved events in Austin, this annual festivity will offer things to do for the whole family. The Birthday Party is a fundraising event that benefits Austin-based non-profit organizations. You are encouraged to come in costume and play around the Maypole. You can even enter in the costume contest! Do not miss out on the games with prizes designed to entertain people of all ages, from the young to the young at heart. There will also be live music, face painting, henna, and temporary tattoos.

You will not have to do all of this celebrating on an empty stomach, either. Local vendors will sell both hot and cold food options including vegetarian varieties, Texas beer, and soft drinks. There will also be commemorative Eeyore Birthday Party T-shirts for sale.

Parking will be free at the state parking garage E and Lot 3 (on Colorado between 16^th and 17^th). Shuttle buses will run to pick you up and bring you back all day. Capital Metro is also adding buses specifically for the event.
