New Year’s Eve Events in Texas for the Whole Family

It is almost time to say good-bye to 2013 and give a big hello to 2014 – a new year and a clean slate. If you live in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, or any of the surrounding areas you will be pleased to know that there are plenty of New Year’s Eve events in Texas for the whole family this year!

Austin

DAZZLE 2014 is being hosted at the Holiday Inn Austin Midtown.  The party starts at 8 pm and wraps up at 1:00 am. Special entertainment will be provided for children and the under-21 crowd. While the over 21 crowd will be entertained by a DJ and local band WALL STREET! Everyone will receive a sit down dinner, cash bar for the adults and a champagne toast at midnight.

San Antonio

Celebrate San Antonio is an outdoor event being held on South Alamo Street between Durango Street and Market Street. The family fun starts at 6 pm and goes till 12:30 am. This festival is listed #34 out of 50 by Priceline. It is touted as the biggest New Year’s Eve celebration in Texas.  Admission is free and includes a magnificent fireworks show!

Dallas

Medieval Times New Year’s Eve Extravaganza is located at 2021 N. Stemmons Freeway. The entire family will enjoy a four-course meal, and a 2-hour show. The entire family will ring in the New Year like royalty!

Houston

New Year’s Eve at Sugarland Town Center.  The fun starts at 7 pm and ends at 1 am. The kids can have their faces painted, watch puppet shows, and marvel over the candy ice sculptures.  At 9:30 the adult fun starts with live music, dancing and a light show – which the kids are sure to enjoy as well. Ring in the New Year while watching a 3D sugar cube drop!
