August 25: Austin Fall Home & Garden Show

The Austin Fall Home and Garden Show returns to the Austin Convention Center on August 23-25, one of many fun events this month in and around the city. The show, now in its 18th season, features designer gardens, a Home Improvement Zone, dozens of vendors with “show only” pricing, plant and tree sales, live cooking demonstrations, a Kids’ Interactive Zone, free kids cooking lessons and DIY seminars. The stars of the Animal Planet’s show, “Tanked” will also be on hand.

Hours and Admission

The Fall Home and Garden show is open Friday, August 23 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, August 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 25 from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults, $6 for seniors (65 and older) and retired military, and free for active military personnel and those age 16 and younger. A $1 off coupon can be printed from the event’s Web site. The event box office accepts only cash. One admission is good for the entire weekend.
