Rather than just picking up any old pumpkin from the store, why not make a day of it and head to a local pumpkin patch as a family? Here are a few pumpkin patches in Austin, Texas where you can pick the perfect canvas for your carving this October!
- Austin Oaks Church: This local patch opens October 12th and will be open until the month’s end. They’ll be open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Proceeds go to Redeemed Ministries, which is working to end human trafficking and take care of its survivors.
- Bethany United Methodist Church: Opening October 5th, they’ll have a plethora of pumpkin sizes, plus some sweet treats for your family to enjoy! Grab a pumpkin and a slice of pumpkin pie here between 3:00-7:00 p.m. on weekdays or 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on weekends.
- Red Barn Garden Center: This spot already has their pumpkins, but if you really want to make the most of it head there between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on October 17th. You’ll be a part of their free fall festival, which will feature a petting zoo and moon bounce!
