Spice Up Summer At The Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival

The Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival

The Hot Sauce Festival Promises Spicy Fun

As we enter the last month of the summer season, you want to make sure you take advantage of the remaining days and soak up every drop of summer fun. Looking to kick your summer up a notch? The great news is that there are some local events that can help you do just that.

Why not spice up your summer by marking your calendar for the upcoming Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival?

On Sunday, August 23rd, things heat up at Fiesta Gardens (2100 Jesse E. Segovia Street) as this Hot Sauce Festival returns for its 25th year. Over the years, this event has grown to be the largest hot sauce festival in the world – and for good reason! Drawing 15,000 people to sample sauces from 350 entrants, this annual party brings people from all over the country.

On top of the tastings, there will also be live music from Dale Watson and His Lone Stars, Sweet Spirit, Bidi Bidi Banda, Sphynx, and Tiarra Girls over the course of the day. You will not want to miss a single note!

All of this fun is for a good cause, too! You “pay” your way into the event with three healthy, nonperishable food items or a suggested $5 cash donation. These contributions go to benefit the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas, and last year this event brought over 45,300 meals to Austin residents in need!

With 25 years behind it, you can bet this will be a great event. Why not get your insurance coverage from a team of experts who also have history behind them?
